The mobile “Lundström 1932” is our loving tribute to the painter Vilhelm Lundström’s sensitive geometry – and to “Arrangement with white jug, orange and book” (1932-1933), which is one of his main works.
In our interpretation, we have set the familiar white jug, the orange, and the book free, and we have given the elements air under their wings by making the Cubist still life a little less quiet.
The result is a mobile that adds an airy poetry to the angular shapes and significant colors of the popular Cubist masterpiece.
“Lundström 1932” has been developed in collaboration with the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK) in Copenhagen, where the painting can be experienced.
